Item #37 was "Baby your feet this week, give them a soak and a rub. Better yet - get someone else to rub them for you."
I soaked in the tub one night . . . Thursday? But didn't get the rubbing done . . . I was excited to try some stuff I have specifically for that purpose, too! It's called "Sole to Soul Revitalizing Foot Lotion" and comes with a little pumice stone. I'm not sure how old it is, but it has yummy-sounding ingredients in it.
My feet perpetually need some TLC so I try to treat myself to a pedicure once or twice a year. Perhaps in the spring before it's sandals time, I'll work on this one again.

Week 3 Item #8 WordGirl
My thing last week was #8 - "Walk, swim, cross country ski, etc. for at least 15 minutes this week."
I thought I would try to do something every single day, but that didn't happen!
We were up at our lake place last weekend, so on 1/13, I easily had 15 minutes of walking through deep snow (hauling stuff from the car to the cabin). On Saturday, 1/14, I spent 45 minutes shoveling deep snow (the hard-packed stuff at the end of the driveway that the plow had piled up, as well as some around the cabin). I also walked for 15 minutes or more.
On Sunday, Louie and I went on a 15+ minute hike in our winter wonderland. We thought about getting out our snowshoes, but had fun just trekking around!
On Monday, I had 10 minutes of walking and 10 minutes of shoveling. That was it for this challenge . . . the week simply got super busy. I wear a Fitbit One and so I know I got some exercise in, but it wasn't necessarily fun stuff.
Tuesday, 1/17 = 12,167 steps
Wed. 1/18 = 12,346 steps
Thur. 1/19 = 12,541 steps
Fri. 1/20 = 11,959 steps
Sat. 1/21 = 8,933 steps (and at least 2 hours of cleaning house)
I was really hoping to go swimming. I love to swim! I have occasionally joined a friend at water aerobics in Shakopee, but the busy-ness of the week took over.

Salad Girl Delayed
Salad gig is working well - even have a motto: "go green 2017" cute, eh?
Meanwhile, I connected with 3 friends I haven't seen for a while and completed Lord knows how many other things on the list - all without picking a number.
We all do what we do how we do - right? I may just print out the list and date when I did something for the first time. Maybe I can finish in 1/2 of a year - oh no - that would be "overachiever girl." So I will just go home and figure out how to add those spinach greens to my diet.
Go girl and women and men and whomever for stretching for your 2017 goals....is stretching on the list?

Week 2 Item #28 Word Girl
Yesterday, I pulled a slip of paper. #28 said to buy or pick a bouquet of flowers for myself this week. Since I had to go to Cub Foods this morning for doughnuts anyhow, I bought two small pots of tulips. I love spring flowers! It's too early for them, but they sure are lovely. When I got to work, I wrote notes to two of my colleagues and delivered them. The pleasure I got from doing this was tremendous! And I know the recipients are enjoying them.

I'm trying to continue deleting lots of emails, but it's hard to keep up with all the incoming. I got lots of other stuff done today at work and at home, but it's almost my bedtime and the rest of my week is jam-packed.
I like having a reminder on the board as I head out to my car each day. If I have any lulls this week, I may share pictures of flowers with others . . . we'll see!
I'd love to hear how others are doing with their 3F2E . . . if you need help with the "how tos" of using a blog, please let me know!

Week 1 Item #13 WordGirl
I drew item #13 "delete 25 emails this week" so I did that right away. Each day since the first day, I've tried to get rid of at least as many as I have received since my last login. It was harder to do this at work today (Tuesday), but I definitely deleted more than 25.
Sometimes I go to emails that are much older (like a year or more) and either delete them or archive them in a labeled folder if I may want to access them again.
Getting rid of clutter, even if it's electronic, feels great! I'll continue to work on purging extraneous emails.
Here's my reminder board, posted on the door to the garage. I see it every day when I head out to my car.

Louise's email for starters . . .
I'm planning an encouragement experiment for family and friends in place
of a new years resolution, and I invite you to take part if you are so
inclined.
It goes like this:
Grab
a honey do jar, and put in 52 slips o paper numbered 1 - 52. Each week
draw out one piece of paper and match it up to the list (that I am
still working on), then do your best to complete the corresponding
action on the list that week. The actions will be fairly fun and easy
(I hope), then I'd like it if (when I create a shared Google document -
with my sisters help since I don't know how...), if we'd all write down
which number we pulled and how the week went, and if you'll repeat the
action for more than just that one week, or if you have suggestions for
the rest of us doing the experiment.
So far I
have one suggestion for the beginning of the project: Come up with an
alter ego super hero name for yourself. That way you can be private,
and or just silly if you want to.
Here are some of the numbered actions I've come up with so far:
1 Sort through 1 box of junk or organize a junk drawer this week
2 Eat at least 1 salad this week
3 Drink at least 1 more glass of water than you normally would this week
4 Drink zero calorie pop instead of regular pop this week
5 Wear your absolute favorite, most comfy outfit at least 1 day this week
6 Snack on veggies at least 1 day this week
7 Stop eating after 7pm this week
8 Walk, swim, x country ski, etc for at least 15 mins this week
9 Put aside $5.00 for a reward this week
10 Call a friend you haven't spoken to in a while and catch up this week
11 Gently, slowly stretch your muscles this week
12
If you are watching TV, try to tighten your stomach muscles and hold
them during every other commercial this week - no TV? try it for 5 mins
13
If you have too many e-mails in your in box, try to clean out 25 of
them this week, if not - substitute some other organizing idea
14 If you are able, donate blood this week - if not, do some other charitable act
15 Drink 1 less alcoholic, caffeinated, sugary, energy drink (or other not the best for you drink), this week
16 Cook 1 meal with fresh ingredients this week
17 Bruch your teeth and floss every day this week - already do? Good! a gold star for you!
18 Try to touch your toes without bending your knees (as far as you can go), every day this week
19 Spend some time in nature this week
20
Pick someone in the group - or anyone really, and treat them to their
favorite healthy treat ex: Louise loves celery washed, and cut into 1
inch pieces (chips), stuck in a gallon plastic bag... oooooohhhh! or a
bag of peeled grapefruit... mmmmmm!
21 Get some extra sleep this week
22 Go to the library, check out a book, movie, CD (music or story), and enjoy it at least 1 day this week
23 Do something creative this week
24 Be kind to yourself this week - you're worth it!
25 Cut back on salty salt this week, consider switching to low sodium salt
26
Change the batteries in your smoke detectors this week - if it's the
right time of year for it... if not mark it on your calendar as to when
you intend to do it, then follow through and do it
That's
all that I've come up with so far... as this is a cooperative
adventure, I welcome 26 more suggestions and I hope you'll join the Triple F and Double E with me (Family & Friends Fun Encouragement Experiment)
Feel free to invite anybody else you'd like to have join us especially if I missed their name on this e-mail K?
Your superhero budy - no name yet....
